Northwest Fire Rescue and Training

Bravo Target Safety is looking for Full Time Medics to join our organization in the Grande Prairie area to work a rotating 15/6 schedule. We are also looking for Casual Day Raters, with no set schedule who are available on short notice.

Job Duties:
➢ Complete pre/post-trip inspections on unit/vehicle
➢ Drive vehicle to and from location in a safe and courteous manner
➢ Build rapport with on site representatives and staff
➢ Complete site specific orientation as required
➢ Contact and set-up or update STARS site number, and complete BTS paperwork package
➢ Conduct and maintain proper and accurate headcount unless otherwise advised
➢ Provide medical standby-by services and medical care when required
➢ Be fit for duty daily and comply with all of Bravo Target Safety’s and/or the Clients rules and expectations
➢ Review and advise on emergency response plans as it relates to a specific site and scope
➢ Conduct site safety tours and pre-job inspections prior to completing hazard assessments
➢ Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of job performance
➢ Participate in all Safety Meetings. Review SDS for hazardous materials
➢ Rig in and test equipment for emergency medical response based on training, Industry Recommended Practices, company policies, medical protocols and client rules and expectations
➢ Complete inventory and perform function tests of medical equipment and supplies
➢ Respond to any emergency as per your training and provincial scope of practice
​➢ Incident reporting and assist in investigations as required
➢ Regularly inspect emergency equipment as per training and to manufacturer’s standards
➢ Participate in emergency drills as required by Bravo Target Safety and/or the Client
➢ Participate in in-house training program on a regular basis
➢ Maintain emergency response apparatus as per manufacturer's recommendations and related standards required
➢ Other duties as assigned

 Requirements:
➢ Proven track record of exceptional customer service
➢ Must be ACP Certified
➢ Standard Oil Field Tickets (H2S Alive, CSTS/PST and Standard First Aid with CPR)
➢ Class 5 license
➢ Must have strong written and communication skills
➢ Attention to detail
➢ EMR/PCP experience is a must

Currently recruiting for the a project in the High Arctic area for 4-Emergency Medical Technician-Ambulance (Ref # 2008-012-EMTA).  This position is responsible for the overall site medical treatment and medical facility care for a remote mining construction project. The successful candidate must have proficient skills in emergency medical treatment for remote construction, oil and gas sector and/or similar.

Required qualifications and certifications include Emergency Medical Technician-Ambulance certification, and WHMIS Trainer. Individuals with safety and safety training I.e. conducting site new worker orientations and NFPA 1001 qualifications are considered assets.  It is essential that this individual be familiar with working with and coordinating a volunteer site emergency response team, equipment preparedness and response readiness for all site medical emergencies.  The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screening test. MEM Ltd offers a competitive salary and / or contractor hire packages based on successful applicant’s experience and qualifications.

Project is 7-12hr days and a rotation option of 2:1 (week) or 3:3 rotations, with all travel and accommodation provided to and from the project site.  Personnel will live on site at the provided accommodation complex in single rooms, with meals provided. The project is designated as 1-year term contract, with potential for extension.
